Token Account Deep Dive | Hub Panelcore Workshops
An intensive session on token account fields, rent exemption, account closure, delegation, and debugging failed transfers — for learners who understand basics but need precision.
Who Should Attend
Attend this session if you already know what a mint account and token account are, but you stumble when reading raw account data on an explorer or when a transfer fails with an opaque program error. The deep dive assumes you completed our fundamentals workshop or equivalent self-study.
Session Focus
We examine each field stored in a token account — mint, owner, amount, delegate, delegated amount, close authority, and state flags. You learn to read these fields directly rather than relying on wallet summaries alone.
Rent exemption receives dedicated attention. We calculate the minimum lamport balance required for a token account to remain rent-exempt under current cluster parameters, and discuss what happens when an account falls below that threshold.
The second half covers practical debugging: tracing a failed transfer step by step, identifying missing associated token accounts, spotting owner mismatches, and understanding when account closure reclaims rent.
Delivery and Materials
Sessions run with no more than four learners to keep the pace interactive. You receive a laminated debugging flowchart to keep at your desk after the session.
